ADA Title II & Title III Compliance

The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requires that digital services be accessible to people with disabilities. Title II covers state and local government websites. Title III covers public accommodations, including websites of private businesses. Both increasingly reference WCAG 2.1 Level AA as the technical standard.

MiOffice is designed from the ground up for accessibility. Unlike tools that retrofit accessibility features, our UI components are built with ARIA attributes, keyboard handlers, and screen reader announcements as first-class requirements. Our published VPAT documents full conformance details.

Accessibility Features

Full Keyboard Navigation

Every tool, button, and control is accessible via keyboard. Tab navigation, Enter activation, Escape to close dialogs, and arrow keys for sliders.

Screen Reader Compatible

ARIA labels, roles, and live regions on all interactive elements. Tested with VoiceOver (macOS), NVDA (Windows), and TalkBack (Android).

High Contrast Text

All text meets WCAG AA contrast ratios (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text). No color-only indicators — every state uses text, icons, or patterns.

Zoom Support

No viewport restrictions. Users can zoom to 200%+ as required by WCAG 1.4.4. Responsive layout reflows properly at all zoom levels.

Focus Indicators

Visible focus outlines on all interactive elements. 2px solid outline with sufficient contrast against all backgrounds.

Skip Navigation

Skip-to-content links on every page. Users can bypass repetitive navigation to reach the main tool area immediately.
